XK XL XM XP FALCON RADIO DELETE BLANK PLATE

$60.00

XK XL XM XP Falcon radio delete blanking plate.

Printed in a PTEG material which allows a little bit of flex rather than the original brittle plates.

Plates come in white only for YOU to paint to suit your own dash colour

It’s been a long time coming but finally they are here.

For those who don’t know what this is….

Like most old cars the XK XL XM XP Falcons did not come with a radio, they were an option and given the average wage back in 60’s a radio was a luxury that most couldn’t afford. Instead they were fitted from factory with a radio delete blanking plate.

Now this is where the trouble starts….

Most radio delete blanking plates were thrown in the bin and never to be seen again when you fitted that $10 Kmart radio in the 80/90’s

Or

because those plates are between 66 & 60 years of age the original plastic plates are now brittle due to the UV.

Hence why I have had the XK and XL XM XP 3d scanned and recreated.

Down the track once I get some dimensions I will make oversized plates to cover up our sins from the 90’s when we took to our dashes (me included) with an angle grinder to fit that Sony stereo that was usually outdated by the time you installed it…
